Finding Your Truth

Where do you find your truth? Truth, clarity, purpose: gifts from above.

It's just my oh-so-humble opinion, but...

Ok, first of all, I love the hockey song.

Second of all, I firmly believe Corb Lund should not sing it. Ever. This song, heard at many a hockey game, is the hallowed ground of the one and only Stompin' Tom.

However, not to discount Mr. Lund entirely, it must be said here his additional fourth verse is well-worth hearing. I was unable to find a song clip (well, a free one that is), so here are the lyrics:

Well goodness me, Fox TV, where did you get your sight?
Can’t you keep track, the puck is black, that’s why the ice is white.
That big red glare, you see up there, well we’ve seen that for years.
For heaven sakes, all it takes is a couple dozen beers.
OOOOOOOOH, the good old hockey game……

And that's why hockey is Canada's game. Bring on the Winnipenguins and the Saskatchewan Roughriders! [Just for you Rob...]

No one has any respect for tradition.
How about instead of making a dumbass attempt to recreate a legend you leave it the hell alone.

This is just my oh-so-humble opinion..........

i'de just like to add to this that there is one other song out there, that no one should touch....THE LAST SASKATCHEWAN PIRATE. OK you know what, that loser group whatever they're called invented it but Captain Tractor perfected it and that other deuche who tried it stunk it up horribly. Captain Tractor owns that song......in my oh-so-humble opinion

Please use your own blog to bash the Arrogant Worms and Brad Johner, both Saskatchewan natives I might add (see Last Saskatchewan Pirate, not Alberta Pirate, although we do get honourable mention). Tip: using their names as opposed to offensive and aggressive labels does improve the strength of an argument.

I have no issues with Captain Tractor. Very amusing Alberta band. Through this sorid affair I have maintained a defensive postition and will continue to do so, consciously avoiding the temptation to resort to name-calling.

Oh and to have the title "song" I believe there has to be singing involved.
