Get It

I spend a lot of time trying to make people get it. Some days I am just tired of waiting for someone to come along and understand where I am coming from. *Sigh* I suppose it is a bit unrealistic - I'm the only one who gets to be me (and I like it that way)!

Sometimes it's just discouraging, you know? I want to be a positive impact on the people whose lives I touch and at times, it seems like a full-fledged battle. We forget the power of words. We forget to look at things from someone else's perspective. We judge quickly and harshly. We hate. We complain. We refuse to see the blessings in our lives. We find other people's misfortune funny. Sometimes we realize these things and apologize. Other times we just go back to thinking only of ourselves. Falling far short of perfect myself, I have come to understand mistakes, but sometimes I just don't understand people. *Sigh*
